Integrated Krav Maga/Firearms Safety Training

Day 1: May 7, 2023, 12:00 p.m.

Day 1 will include: Firearms safety from locking up your weapon to administratively loading, unloading & reloading your firearm; doing this while stationary and while moving; executing a correct draw stroke; executing a correct draw stroke from concealment; creating space to fight, and weapon retention.

Day 2: May 20, 2023, 12:00 p.m.

Day 2 will include a brief review of Day 1; drawing the weapon and creating space while under stress; fighting with the weapon/weapon retention while on the ground & standing; drawing your firearm while in a vehicle; counter carjacking; and extreme stress drills with airsoft weapons.

Day 3: May 28, 2023, 12:30 p.m.

Day 3 will include four hours of intensive live-fire training. Shooting at distances ranging from 3 ft to 70 ft. These will be done while stationary and moving at any angle. This day will require a grasp of the previous day's skills learned.

Meet Your Instructors

BRYAN WELCH attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and was commissioned into the United States Army as an Infantry officer. As a Lieutenant, Bryan commanded an Army Marksmanship Training Unit training soldiers in proper firearms techniques. Additionally, he competed as a member of the US Army Pistol Team where he won several competitions. Bryan began his civilian career as a tactical paramedic for 20 years before earning his position as a Battalion Fire Chief for Kansas City, Kansas. In addition his duties as Fire Chief, Bryan teaches Use of Force classes to Kansas Law Enforcement Officers (LEO) throughout the state,  is a LEO Pistol Instructor, a Firearms Instructor for the Kansas City Kansas Fire Department Fire Investigations Unit and a Tactical Medicine instructor. Bryan has also designed and presented high intensity, realistic, high standard, high-stress training for over 30 years. Bryan has studied Krav Maga with Steve for over 15 years and assisted with ten previous Krav Maga/Firearms Integrated training courses.

STEVE WOOLRIDGE has more than 25 years of martial arts and teaching experience, as well as six years of military service. While in the United States Air Force, Steve served as a foreign language specialist in an elite electronic combat unit. Due to the high-security nature of his position, he received extensive training in various survival, escape and evasion tactics.

His Krav Maga and martial arts background includes: First Degree Black Belt in Krav Maga (fewer than 50 in the U.S. in 2006); Krav Maga Civilian Law Enforcement Instructor; First Degree Black Belt in Chuan Fa. Steve has a strong wrestling background, has boxed and studied Jiu Jitsu. He was the first certified Krav Maga instructor in Kansas City, receiving his Instructor Certification in January 2001.

In October 2001, Steve established the Krav Maga & Fitness Center in Lenexa, Kansas. Well known for his endless energy, in-depth knowledge and entertaining teaching style, Steve has taught Krav Maga to thousands of adults and children in the Kansas City area.
